3 cold drink recipes you’ll want to try this summer!

Summer is the time of refreshing home-made drinks. Make them not just delicious, but also vitamin-rich, using natural ingredients and replacing refined sugar with natural honey! 

 

Mango and Honey Lassi

What you will need:

  • 1 tablespoon of Greek yogurt;
  • half a cup of milk;
  • 1 ripe mango;
  • cardamom to taste;
  • 1 tablespoon of liquid honey;
  • 1 tablespoon of lime juice.

Wash and peel the mango, remove the pit and hard fibers, leaving only golden flesh. Put the yogurt, milk, mango flesh and lime juice in a blender, wait for it to become a smooth mass, add honey and sprinkle some cardamom. After that, mix the mass again and put it in the refrigerator. Serve as soon as it cools.

 

Honey Lemonade with Ginger (this one can also be drunk hot!)

What you will need:

  • 7 oz of honey;
  • gingerroot;
  • 3 fl oz of water;
  • 3 large lemons or 6 limes.

Squeeze the lemon(lime) juice in a bowl and set it aside for some time. Grate the ginger, slice the citrus peel, and put everything in a blender (also try adding some fresh mint!). Put the water in a pot, add lemon/lime juice, and the mixture from the blender. Wait till it boils and remove the pot from the stove. Add honey when the lemonade cools. 

 

Banana Mint Cocktail with Honey

What you will need:

  • water;
  • fresh mint;
  • 3 medium-sized ripe bananas;
  • 1 tablespoon of honey.

Wash, peel, and slice the bananas. Muddle some mint leaves using mortar and pestle. Put the bananas and mint in a blender, add honey. After it’s done you can add some water into the mixture or drink it like a smoothie!
